Roelant Hietbrink calls this aboriginal woman Watiya-warnu, which means acacia seeds. Her face tells of an enormous primal force. The dark baked clay and rough touch fit in nicely with this.

The linocut shows the upper wheel of the Broekdijk mill with the axis of the blades.

Linocut of the "kokerei" (coking plant) near Zollverein in the Ruhr area (was the largest and most efficient coal mine in the world, now museum and industrial heritage). 9 printing passes. By not making the layers completely opaque, I made it extra rusty.

Linocut of old cranes on the Antwerp quay. These impressive cranes are museum pieces from the MAS (Museum Aan de Stroom). Dark silhouettes of old harbor friends at nightfall. There is something cheerful about the dancing legs and all the bars.
